Since executable files cannot be transferred automatically, moove Roomancer cannot spread viruses. Furthermore moove Roomancer cannot independently run or rename executable files.
Of course a file can be put into a room by a visitor via file transfer, if the owner of the room has authorized visitors to place files in rooms. If a room owner isn't sure about the origin, he/she should never open such files.
Do not accept files from members you don't know!
Related to this, here's a small note about MPZ files: These files do not carry executable (moove) code, therefore the user does not receive a warning when running them. MPZ files cannot harm your computer in any way, the most they can do in the worst case is harm your moove Rooomancer installation.
We urgently advise you to make use of the security settings in Roomancer:
You can control the access to every room:
Right-click on the floor of the room and choose "Access control".
Here you can set if and how your room will be visitable: clicking on "Properties" in the same window allows you to decide if you want to generally allow file transfers, etc. Please have a closer look at the relevant settings - they increase your room's security.
Alternatively you can reach these functions by clicking on the "House" symbol in the menu bar.
