Just in case you didn’t install the program moove Roomancer already, this is the description of the way to the moove online 3D world:

· By clicking the button "Download now" on page www.moove.com/download_adv_01.htm you download moove Roomancer installation file to a location of your choice. Open the file.
If you don’t find the file after download, just click "Start" on the screen and search the file Roomancer.exe to open it.
· If there are any difficulties regarding download, please try the "Alternative Download Page".
Errors can occur when disk free space is very low, such that there is insufficient space to install.
We suggest cleaning: "My Computer", right click "Local disk", "Properties", "General", "Disk Cleanup..."
and check of your hard drives: "My Computer", right click "Local disk", "Properties", "Tools", "Error-checking".
Please check Windows system files: Go to Windows "START", "Run" and enter "sfc /scannow".
This will refresh these files. More information can be found at Microsoft Knowledge Base.
· If this doesn’t help, please check if you are using a firewall (e.g. Norton) which is blocking ports used for download. In this case please unblock these ports for the download action.
· It may be necessary to use "medium" security settings in your Internet Explorer.
· If still not successful, please retry the download several times - maybe at another time.
· Related information: support.microsoft.com and Windows Update.
· After completion of the installation and restart of your PC start the program moove Roomancer. Just double click on the rose symbol on your desktop.
· When starting for the first time moove Roomancer will need some time to initialize. Please be patient.
· moove Roomancer connects to the Internet and to our server to open the Login page. Please enter your nickname and your given password. Please make a note of your password and store it carefully.
· Only now you can enter your rooms and visit other members. Have fun!

Possible problems and solutions:

· CAB Cabinet (file format) files can get corrupted while downloading. In this case please retry the download. It may be necessary to remove the corrupted files before downloading again, e.g. by cleaning the Internet cache in Internet Explorer "Tools", "Internet Options...". Then "General", "Temporary Internet Files", "Delete files...".

If this doesn’t help, please do a Microsoft update for your Data Access Components (MDAC).
· Roomancer works fine with Windows XP (Professional and Home Edition).
To install moove Roomancer on XP Professional please login as administrator or user with administrator rights.
XP has a built-in Internet Connection Firewall (ICF). Please change ICF settings for Roomancer.

· After installation of a program like Fusion from VMWare" or "Parallels Desktop" you can run many Windows programs
and especially moove Roomancer on the Mac.

If you have a newer Mac with Intel Chip just use Boot Camp from Apple together with Windows XP.
· After installation of a program like "Wine" or "VMware" you can run Windows programs like moove Roomancer on Linux.

· In case of technical problems please try the following one by one:

· Re-start your computer.
· Close Roomancer and delete c:\moove\Rose2.aka before starting Roomancer again.
· Install Roomancer again - first with the "Overwrite" repair option. This way none of your data go lost. If you don’t find the installation file after Download, just click "Start" on the screen and search the file Roomancer.exe to open it.

Following applies especially, if there are problems related to a specific nickname on a PC - you know everybody has his own rooms even on the same PC:
Roomancer is by design an open system and there are many extensions (tools, actors etc.) available from third parties. In very rare occasions the use of non-moove extensions can make the system unusable. In such cases, before doing a fresh uninstall - install cycle, you may want to try UserDel. This tool allows you to delete a specific user (including all the rooms of this nickname) on your local PC.
Note: This will not affect your community account and data.
Roomancer rooms can be decorated with furniture created by third parties. In rare occasions a problematic piece of furniture can prevent you from entering the initial room (this is usually the last visited room before leaving the system). In such cases the tool RoomDel allows you to reset the initial room to an empty state. Other rooms can be deleted by the moove Roomancer browser menu "House".
In the moove Shop section Misc you can find the FurnitureCheck-Tool to check all installed furniture.
Avoid slow 3D rendering by economical usage of furniture. Choose the optimized moove components.
In the moove Roomancer browser menu "Extras", "Options", "Rendering" you can test another renderer. Please install actual drivers of your graphics card.
Please run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool: Go to Windows "START", "Run" and enter "DxDiag".

moove Roomancer writes special technical incidents into a file.
We need this file to solve technical problems.
After your input at our Support you can upload this file easily.
The file content is protected by our Policy and is only visible for moove representatives analyzing it technically.

128 MB Ram or more are strongly recommended. If you have enough memory, you should try to protect explorer windows (and Windows itself) against crashes:
In an explorer for file folders choose option "Launch folder windows in a separate process" after clicking "Tools", "Folder options...", "View".
We suggest regularly cleaning: "My Computer", right click "Local disk", "Properties", "General", "Disk Cleanup...".

Frequent checks of your hard drives are very recommended: "My Computer", right click "Local disk", "Properties", "Tools", "Error-checking".

Particularly unexplainable crashes are often caused by overheating. An inside and an exterior cleaning of the PC with the help of a vacuum cleaner pipe could reduce the problem.

Another common cause of problems is a wrong system time.

Please check support.microsoft and Windows Update.

Last but not least you should check your PC for viruses and trojans. This malware often causes unexplainable disturbances:
For your general Internet security we suggest using firewall and Antivirus. Additionally we recommend a Anti-Rootkit check.
· Spyware on your PC can harm the functionality of your Internet Browser.
Therefore please use AntiSpyware. Additionally we recommend a Anti-Rootkit check.
· If you are using a service called Netsetter or Marketscore, you are using a proxy server.
Using proxy-servers you will not be able to receive visitors. Please uninstall or deactivate Netsetter / Marketscore when using moove Roomancer.
· You get the message "not enough memory" when there is not enough free memory on your hard disk.
But even if you install moove Roomancer on another hard disk, the operating system still needs some free space on drive C: for special files (e.g. DLL files).
Another case of "not enough memory" can be your so called "Windows registry":
If you did install many programs and removed only the folders instead of uninstalling, the install information in the registry persists and the registry gets to full.
If this is the case, please clean up your registry.
· If you experience problems with web pages,
we suggest cleaning up your Internet cache in Internet Explorer "Tools", "Internet Options...". Then "General", "Temporary Internet Files", "Delete files...".
Sometimes it may be necessary to "Delete cookies..." in the same menu.
Next XP: Reinstall or repair Internet Explorer
or Vista or Windows 7: Reinstall or repair Internet Explorer
or Fresh Install of Internet Explorer
Please check Windows system files: Go to Windows "START", "Run" and enter "sfc /scannow".
This will refresh these files. More information can be found at Microsoft Knowledge Base.
If new install of Internet Explorer is necessary: Windows "START", "Run" and "rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 C:\Windows\inf\ie.inf"
Or try Windows System restore, if you have a Backup.

A popup blocker or another software plugged into your browser could be the reason for the problems as well.
