IEFix
If you experience problems with web pages,
we suggest cleaning up your Internet cache in Internet Explorer "Tools", "Internet Options...". Then "General", "Temporary Internet Files", "Delete files...".
Sometimes it may be necessary to "Delete cookies..." in the same menu.

Cookies
This service needs cookies to guarantee, that only you

Buddies are members you are especially interested in.

Related to the number of Gold Members you are buddy at, you get a "popular" medal (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?lnkmedal).
As soon as a member receives a Gold Membership, all members already being buddied get popularity points (http://www.moove.com/medalshelp.htm).
By using "Buddies" or the button at the nickpage you can declare a buddy.
Please note: You can show interest by buddy declaration but this can be received as offending, if the member doesn’t know you yet.

You can ignore members you don’t want to contact you. Other related nicknames of that person are affected, too. Before entering a club, we suggest opening the Club Information (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecclubi&m=FKG&s=SingleTreff&rm=GJS8KSH646MDQPJL1BSJJF45SQ) to check for ignored visitors.

As long as the buddy declaration is not made on both sides ("Double buddy") you have a "Single buddy" and you are a "Lonely buddy" for the other member.
In your Profile and Privacy (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecreg&st=3#sf) you can decide if friendships (double buddies) are visible to others.

If you are using T-Online, the configuration is very important. Please don’t connect in BTX mode!

Spyware

Netsetter
If you are using a service called Netsetter or Marketscore, you are using a proxy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/proxy) server.
Using proxy-servers you will not be able to receive visitors. Please uninstall or deactivate Netsetter / Marketscore when using moove Roomancer.

System
If there are problems with the system environment, the situation is
similar to an Explorer crash.
In most cases simply re-start Roomancer.
Sometimes you have to reboot your computer.
If this doesn’t help, normally other programs are affected, too.
In this case you may consider a new installation or upgrade (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/upgrade) of the Internet Explorer (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx) or the operating system.
128 MB Ram or more are strongly recommended (http://www.moove.com/download_adv_01.htm)!

Memory
You get the message "not enough memory" when there is not enough free memory on your hard disk.
But even if you install moove Roomancer on another hard disk, the operating system still needs some free space on drive C: for special files (e.g. DLL files).
Another case of "not enough memory" can be your so called "Windows registry":
If you did install many programs and removed only the folders instead of uninstalling, the install information in the registry persists and the registry gets to full.
If this is the case, please clean up your registry.

Path
For security reasons the moove Roomancer browser is restricted to only access files in its own folder and subfolders ("sandbox").
If you install Roomancer into the root folder, or if you move the file _adv.exe after installation, you will get the security error "Attempt to access path...".
In this case please reinstall Roomancer after uninstalling, or start _adv.exe only from the installed folder.

MultiStart
If you start the program in quick succession (e.g. impatiently),
you get the error "9112". If the problem persists, please restart your PC first.
·

MultiPort
You get the error "9204", if the ports needed by moove Roomancer are already used by another program.
In most cases this will be Roomancer, if you started Roomancer in quick succession (e.g. impatiently).
·

ErrMsg
Please follow the Repair help (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?helprepair&ln=1) step by step. If this should not solve the problem, please provide us the exact text of error messages.
This is very important for us to help you.

Err623
If you don’t close moove Roomancer before installing a new version, you may get the error message "623".
In this case please quit Roomancer and re-start the install.

Posture
To exchange postures and expressions with other members, just right-click another actor and copy the posture before clicking the moove Roomancer "Extras" button. Then "Tools", "Posture Editor".
To create one or more actor "Servants" just use "Extras", "Developer Tools", "Create Servant". Only you will see it. It will stay until you either dismiss it or exit the room.
You can right-click it to trade bodies when making new postures.
Use "Extras", "Tools" "Backup Postures" to generate a file with all of your postures.
If you get this file from another member, just copy it to your Roomancer folder (C:\moove in most cases).
After importing the file you will have all of the postures of the other member without destroying your own.
Select a posture or a posture sequence just by embedding the name into your chat input as a chat command (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?helpcmd), e.g. <sit>, <crawl>, <lie> or <Relax>. Use <e> to exercise between the last two postures or expressions. Try the F3 key (http://www.moove.com/help_advanced/shortcuts.htm) and select a command...

Sound
To listen to the sound you need special files. These are not included in the standard download (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/download).
In the moove Shop (http://www.moove.com/shop.htm) section Misc (http://www.moove.com/misc_life01.htm) you can find the Sound package.
Eventually you have to enable sound by setting moove Roomancer browser menu "Extras", "Options", "Sound".
Sound problems (and connection problems!) may occur, if sound and access to the net share the same resources.
In this case please check the setup and the drivers of your sound card, net card and your modem.
Please run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/190900/en-us): Go to Windows "START", "Run" and enter "DxDiag".
If the problems persist, try the following:
Click on Start, Settings, then Control Panel. Open the Multimedia icon. Select the Audio tab & then hit the Advanced button. Select the Performance tab.
Move the Hardware acceleration slider to the 2nd notch from the left (Free Acceleration). Move the Sample rate conversion quality slider to the middle notch (Improved sample rate converter).
Bring Music / Video clips (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecmedia) and Widgets - all kind of stuff (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecwidni) to your nickpage.

HouseSharing
You can share moove Roomancer with other members - even on the same computer. Additionally the same nickname can have houses on several computers. Every member has its own protected house.

Nickname
Just click here (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecunlost&st=1), if you lost a nickname.
To change your nickname, please use "Service and Options", "Change nickname".
Alternatively, register a new member after clicking "Online Status & Logout" and "Logout".
You can use Profile and Privacy (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecreg&st=3#hs) to change your house name, for example.

NickDelete
Remove nickname (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?remove) deletes your profile and unsubscribes.
Inactive accounts will be removed automatically.
·

UnInstall
If you did install the 3D program Roomancer and like to remove it from you hard disk once and for all, please use the desktop Uninstall icon to run the program Demoover (http://www.moove.com/download/demoover.exe).
Alternatively you can use Windows Start->All Programs->moove->Uninstall moove online
You can change your Internet Explorer Home page at "Tools", "Internet Options...", "General", "Home page".

In case of technical problems please try the following one by one:
· Re-start your computer.
· Close Roomancer and delete c:\moove\Rose2.aka before starting Roomancer again.
· Install Roomancer again - first with the "Overwrite" repair option. This way none of your data go lost. If you don’t find the installation file after Download (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Download), just click "Start" on the screen and search the file Roomancer.exe to open it.

Following applies especially, if there are problems related to a specific nickname on a PC - you know everybody has his own rooms even on the same PC:
Roomancer is by design an open system and there are many extensions (tools, actors etc.) available from third parties. In very rare occasions the use of non-moove extensions can make the system unusable. In such cases, before doing a fresh uninstall - install cycle, you may want to try UserDel (http://www.moove.com/download/UserDel.exe). This tool allows you to delete a specific user (including all the rooms of this nickname) on your local PC.
Note: This will not affect your community account and data.
Roomancer rooms can be decorated with furniture created by third parties. In rare occasions a problematic piece of furniture can prevent you from entering the initial room (this is usually the last visited room before leaving the system). In such cases the tool RoomDel (http://www.moove.com/download/RoomDel.exe) allows you to reset the initial room to an empty state. Other rooms can be deleted by the moove Roomancer browser menu "House".
In the moove Shop (http://www.moove.com/shop.htm) section Misc (http://www.moove.com/misc_life01.htm) you can find the FurnitureCheck-Tool to check all installed furniture.
Avoid slow 3D rendering by economical usage of furniture. Choose the optimized moove components.
In the moove Roomancer browser menu "Extras", "Options", "Rendering" you can test another renderer. Please install actual drivers of your graphics card.
Please run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/190900/en-us): Go to Windows "START", "Run" and enter "DxDiag".
Please read about Backup of your Roomancer files (http://www.moove.com/help_advanced/backup.htm),

moove Roomancer writes special technical incidents into a file.
We need this file to solve technical problems.
After your input at our Support (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecsup) you can upload (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/upload) this file easily.
The file content is protected by our Policy (http://www.moove.com/policy.htm) and is only visible for moove representatives analyzing it technically.

Cache
If there is a problem with the Roomancer cache "rescache", please close Roomancer. Remove all files from the "Cache" folder (usually "c:\moove\cache\", please do not delete the folder itself). Then restart.

Checking your hard drives is much recommended: "My Computer", right click "Local disk", "Properties", "Tools", "Error-checking".

Password
Please check the spelling of your nickname. Otherwise the password will not match.
In case you lost your password, please click Lost Password? (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecpwlost) on the community login page (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?login).
You need a valid e-mail address in your profile to get the password delivered. Please don't worry: As long as your e-mail account is safe, nobody else will get the password.
At login there will be security measures when sending the page: The password gets encoded and the field gets filled. But please don’t worry: Your password will not be "falsified".
To change your password, use "Service and Options", "Change password".

A password (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/password) is for your security and should be created carefully.
Please make sure your password is difficult for others to guess. There should be no relation to your personal data.
Most important: The password should not be derivable from your profile.

Community Dollars (C$) are a score in the community. Depending on the account score (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecmoney), you receive Medals (http://www.moove.com/medals.htm) in your nickpage.
C$ can be earned, won, bought (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecbuycs), given away and transferred.
You receive your first credit at registration - depending on your data entries, especially the e-mail address.
If you were invited by another member through Invite Contacts (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecsocial) or Invite Friends (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecfrnd) they receive a credit, if you provide your e-mail address at registration.
Additionally, the member who recommended the community and is mentioned by you at the end of registration will get a credit.
Depending on your login time span you get a C$ bonus for your online time - especially if you had visiting activity.
To transfer C$ to other members, please use "Community Account" on the main community page, or "C$ Transfer" on the nickpage of the member.
You can use your C$ for Trading between members (http://community.moove.com/cs/as.dll?ecsell).

Multimedia
Here (http://www.moove.com/help_advanced/2decorate.htm#up6) you can read, how easily you can add pictures to your own or to visited rooms. By right clicking the room floor and using "Redecorate walls" you can automatically decorate your rooms' walls with pictures of the room directory (use the F2 key (http://www.moove.com/help_advanced/shortcuts.htm) to explore the folder). BMP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMP) and most JPG (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPG) are currently possible.

You may just "Drag-and-drop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drag-and-drop)" music files (like pictures and movies) into your rooms. This will generate a 3D item for the file. You can play the file just by right clicking the 3D item.

You can also use appliances like the multimedia center to play the files.

By right clicking the room floor and using "Access control...", "Properties (http://www.moove.com/help_advanced/2decorate.htm#up9)..." you can allow visitors to download (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/download) the files of the 3D items or even upload (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/upload) their own. Very useful for Web distribution!

You can also listen to music by loading Web pages with audio content. By right clicking 3D items you can create shortcuts (http://www.moove.com/help_advanced/2decorate.htm#up6) to Web pages. Both you and your visitors can easily use these shortcuts!

The most common choice for background music are midi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/midi) files (*.mid), because they are small and load quickly. On this website (http://www.dmoz.org/Arts/Music/Sound_Files/MIDI/) you can find many links to sites containing midi files. Several MP3 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3) files can be found here at dmoz (http://www.dmoz.org/Arts/Music/Sound_Files/MP3/) or here at Yahoo! You may accept Web page broadcasts by enabling it in the moove Roomancer browser menu "Extras", "Options", "General".

Hint: To make pictures from your rooms just click into a room and press "Print Screen" on the keyboard.
Then start a painting program (e.g. Microsoft(R) Paint) and use "Edit", then "Paste".

Vista
Depending on your security settings in Vista, application's Drag-and-drop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drag-and-drop) between folders is considered insecure in Vista. Vista won't allow dropping onto applications running at a higher security level than the source.
To drag pictures into your rooms please open the room folder by pressing the F2 key (http://www.moove.com/help_advanced/shortcuts.htm).
After copying into this folder, you can drag the file from the room folder into the 3D representation of the room in Roomancer.
If there are still problems, please flag Roomancer to run in "Administrator mode":
· Right-click the Roomancer rose shortcut on your desktop
· Click "Properties"
· Click the "Advanced..." button
· Check "Run as administrator" in the "Advanced Properties" dialog.
· Click "OK"
· Click "Open File Location" in the first dialog.
· Right-click the file _adv.exe in the list
· Click "Properties"
· Click "Compatibility" tab.
· Check "Run this program as an administrator".
· Click "OK"

Open the file.
If you don’t find the file after download, just click "Start" on the screen and search the file Roomancer.exe to open it.
· If there are any difficulties regarding download, please try the "Alternative Download Page".
Errors can occur when disk free space is very low, such that there is insufficient space to install.
We suggest cleaning: "My Computer", right click "Local disk", "Properties", "General", "Disk Cleanup..."

· After completion of the installation and restart of your PC start the program moove Roomancer. Just double click on the rose symbol on your desktop.

Fix
In case of technical problems please try the following one by one:
· Re-start your computer.
· Close Roomancer and delete c:\moove\Rose2.aka before starting Roomancer again.
· Install Roomancer again - first with the "Overwrite" repair option. This way none of your data go lost. If you don’t find the installation file after Download (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Download), just click "Start" on the screen and search the file Roomancer.exe to open it.

Following applies especially, if there are problems related to a specific nickname on a PC - you know everybody has his own rooms even on the same PC:
Roomancer is by design an open system and there are many extensions (tools, actors etc.) available from third parties. In very rare occasions the use of non-moove extensions can make the system unusable. In such cases, before doing a fresh uninstall - install cycle, you may want to try UserDel (http://www.moove.com/download/UserDel.exe). This tool allows you to delete a specific user (including all the rooms of this nickname) on your local PC.
Note: This will not affect your community account and data.
Roomancer rooms can be decorated with furniture created by third parties. In rare occasions a problematic piece of furniture can prevent you from entering the initial room (this is usually the last visited room before leaving the system). In such cases the tool RoomDel (http://www.moove.com/download/RoomDel.exe) allows you to reset the initial room to an empty state. Other rooms can be deleted by the moove Roomancer browser menu "House".
In the moove Shop (http://www.moove.com/shop.htm) section Misc (http://www.moove.com/misc_life01.htm) you can find the FurnitureCheck-Tool to check all installed furniture.
Avoid slow 3D rendering by economical usage of furniture. Choose the optimized moove components.
In the moove Roomancer browser menu "Extras", "Options", "Rendering" you can test another renderer. Please install actual drivers of your graphics card.
Please run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/190900/en-us): Go to Windows "START", "Run" and enter "DxDiag".
