| I am a writer, poetry is my happy place.... I can get lost in the words of whatever I’m working on in that moment. I am also a singer and have been singing since I was 5 years old... my favourite music is country, I have been a country girl my whole life. Not to say I don’t like any other music, I do enjoy some pop and rock, as long as it’s soft rock. There’s nothing I dislike more then the screaming guitars and voices of a heavy metal band.... my favourite saying is “if you can’t understand the lyrics, it isn’t music, it’s just noise!” I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my family which consists of my 3 beautiful children, I have 2 daughters and a son...my girls have also given me 2 grandchildren, a boy and a girl each ranging in age from 6 down to 7 months.....they are the lights of my life. My son is the baby of the family and is autistic, I have learned so much from him over the past 24 years since God entrusted me with his life, such as unconditional love, patience, determination, willpower, how to stand strong in the face of great adversity, and how very fragile life can be at times yet how very strong the spirit of a boy can be when he has the will to succeed and grow and attain new life lessons....I have learned to see the world through his eyes and to see the good in all people rather then judge them on their appearance or the colour of their skin. Micah has taught me the true meaning of the verse “greater is he that is within me then he that is in the world” and “if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” I wouldn’t trade him or the many lessons I have learned from him for all the money in the world! | |||
